Juniors Fill Easter Baskets for Cancer Patients

This week's Sunday Community Photo was submitted by Anita Long.

Peter Cottontail isn't the only one who's been busy preparing for Easter.

The GFWC Temple Terrace Junior Woman's Club fill 40 Easter baskets with pads, pencils, cards, hand sanitzer, tissues and other items. Then, they donated those baskets to the American Cancer Society's Tampa Hope Lodge at Moffitt Cancer Center.

Club member Anita Long took this photo and others and posted them in the Temple Terrace Patch Announcements section: Temple Terrace Juniors - Busy March Meeting.

"The annual project has brought smiles to many of the residents at THL who are undergoing treatment at Moffitt Cancer Center," she wrote.

If you want something done - ask a busy person! In this case, ask a whole club filled with busy women. We stuffed the baskets before our monthly membership meeting which made it a lot of fun - plus doing something nice for the folks staying at Hope Lodge made it well worth the time and effort.
