Junior Woman's Club Gives Grant To Temple Terrace Elementary

The Temple Terrace Juniors help support the school's art program.

The GFWC Temple Terrace Junior Woman's Club awarded a $250 grant to for the school art program last month.

The Juniors also plan to donate art supplies at the beginning of the 2011-12 school year, according to Anita Long, group member. Another member of the club donates scrap paper for art projects.

The GFWC Temple Terrace Junior Woman's Club consists of ladies 18 and older who want to make a difference in the community and the world.

Some of the projects in which the TT Juniors are active include: American Cancer Society's Relay for Life Temple Terrace; Adopt-A-Highway Clean-up; Terrace Reads; Teacher Appreciation Week; and the Heritage Ornament Project.

The club meets on the third Thursday of the month from August to May at 7 p.m. at Woodmont Clubhouse, 415 Woodmont Ave.
