Spring Carnival

Woodmont Charter School is holding a community carnival to celebrate spring Saturday, March 23 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the school grounds at 10402 N. 56th St in Temple Terrace. 

Strawberry Classic

More than 600 runners are expected to hit the streets of Temple Terrace Saturday, March 23 when the Tampa Bay Runners host their 32nd annual Strawberry Classic charity run. The event, beginning at Temple Terrace Elementary School, 124 Flotto Ave., Temple Terrace, includes a 5K, 10K, 15K and 1-mile fun run. The 15K kicks off first at 7:15 a.m. followed by the 5K and 10K at 8 a.m. and the fun run at 9 a.m.

A post-race party will be held at Shamrock's Ale House, 7805 Temple Terrace Highway, Temple Terrace, featuring music, food and a raffle.

Community Fun Day

Temple Terrace United Methodist Church, 5030 E. Busch Blvd., Tampa, will host a Community Fun Day Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event will include an egg hunt, bingo, games, sports, bounce houses and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Hotdogs will be available for $1 and there will be other snacks and drinks available as well.

Walk Like MADD

Residents are invited to raise funds for and awareness of Mothers Against Drunk Driving during the sixth annual Tampa Walk Like MADD 5K fundraising walk Friday, March 22. Sponsored by Bright House Networks, festivities begin at 5 p.m. and run until 8:30 p.m. on the campus of the University of South Florida. The walk starts at 6:30 p.m.

Mini-Relay for Life

On Saturday, March 23 from 2 to 8 p.m., Florida College, 119 N. Glen Arven Ave., Temple Terrace, will support the American Cancer Society by hosting its own Mini-Relay for Life event. The fundraiser will feature testimonies from cancer survivors, free lunch for all attending survivors and caregivers, performances from Florida College students, a devotional and a closing luminaria ceremony.

Community Garden Work Session

There will be a work session for the Temple Terrace Community Garden Saturday, March 23 at 9 a.m. at Greco Middle School, 6925 E. Fowler Ave., Temple Terrace.

Food Truck Rally

First Baptist Church of Temple Terrace, 10002 56th St. N., Temple Terrace will host a food truck rally and live music with the JJ Weeks Band Sunday, March 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Karaoke

Shamrock's Ale House, 7805 Temple Terrace Highway, Temple Terrace, hosts karaoke every Saturday from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Flea Market

American Legion Post 334, 929 E. 139th Ave., Tampa, hosts a flea market every Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
