Frog Relaxes After Sunset

Each Sunday, we'll post a photo of Temple Terrace nature from someone in the community as our Sunday Nature Photo.

I was coming home one night, and something caught the corner of my eye as I unlocked my door.

I turned to find this frog lounging on a grassy plant that hangs on my porch.

Of course, I grabbed my camera to take a photo and also captured the red glow of the street light in the background.

Do you have a local nature photo you’d like to share? Email it to ashley.reams@patch.com and it could be featured on a future Sunday.

Great pic. FYI - Those frogs change color based on the temperature.

So nice to see a pretty green tree frog. Used to see many but I've been told the non-native grey Cuban tree frogs have deminished their ranks.

Thanks, Jamie! I knew they changed color, but I didn't know it was because of the temperature.

Thanks, Marcy! One of the things I love about living in Temple Terrace is all the beautiful nature I get to observe. I live close to the river, so I see lots of wildlife.
