Worms Star in Garden Group's First Workshop

The Temple Terrace Community Garden Group had its first public event March 3.

About 30 people turned out for the group's first public event March 3, an .

The workshop, which took place at the Riverhills Park gazebo behind the community garden plot at , was presented by Worm’s Way.

Attendees learned about organic gardening, composting, and the importance of worms in a garden. They also enjoyed free snacks and a tai chi demonstration by the .

Event sponsors included Worm’s Way, Temple Terrace Patch and the Temple Terrace Preservation Society.

Event organizer Jennifer Marshall said the group plans to have similar events every month or two.
