Are You Taking Your Kids to Work Today?

The annual observation is today, April 26.

It’s not very often that kids ask their parents for work they can do, but that’s exactly what’s happening today throughout the Tampa Bay area and beyond.

Yes, it’s time for the annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day!

“For over 19 years, individuals, families, organizations, and workplaces have joined in the Day to expand opportunities and transform the lives of millions of girls and boys both nationally and internationally,” wrote Carolyn McKecuen, president of the Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Foundation on the organization’s website. That agency promotes the annual event.

The observation is designed to get kids thinking about careers and to help them learn more about their options – and the work ethic required to take them where they want to go.

If you’re taking your kids to work today, we’d love to showcase your photos of them in action and hear your stories about what they learned. Just add a comment to the comments section or upload your photos right to this story, Temple Terrace!

Amen! NO WALLY WORLD!! Sweat Tomatoes time has passed in my opinion. What I would like is a BestRead More Buy type of store somewhere where you can electronics and such. We used to have a Circuit city on Fowler along with a real nice book store, then the pressure of being so close to suitcase city forced them all to close or move to New Tampa. It's real sad, I feel I speak for most of us In saying we need a good variety of businesses local to Temple Terrace to shop at.
