TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Movers for Military Initiative Helps Local Homeless Veterans

On Veterans Day – November 11 – the country honors the brave men and women who have made tremendous sacrifices to protect our freedoms. Unfortunately, many veterans across the country are struggling with unemployment and homelessness, relying on others to come to their aid as they once did for their country. For such veterans, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is running the Movers for Military program across Florida.

The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans estimates that in the United States approximately 1.5 million veterans are considered at risk of homelessness due to poverty or lack of support. With the Movers for Military initiative, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® seeks to support those who gave of themselves.

Working in tandem with schools and other community organizations, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchise locations throughout Florida are collecting essential items for donation to organizations or shelters providing critical support to veterans in crisis. In the Tampa area, Movers for Military is collecting items for Volunteers of America.

Introduced in 2012, the Movers for Military program collected more than 15,000 items for donation to homeless veterans across the state, while also raising awareness to the struggles so many veterans face.

In addition to its school partners, the moving company welcomes local businesses and organizations to join in the effort of bringing relief and comfort to veterans in need. Anyone interested in supporting local veterans in crisis should contact their local TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®. Visit www.twomenatruck.com to locate the nearest TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®.
