Master Director Tony DeRosa of Toast of Tampa Show Chorus was named 2013 Chorus Director of the Year for his outstanding work advancing the art of barbershop and the Sweet Adelines International organization. DeRosa, who has directed the Temple Terrace-based women's championship acappella chorus for seven years, led Toast to their highest placement since winning gold in 1993. Toast placed 3rd in Hawaii in November, placing 2nd by four points after the semi-finals with the 18th highest chorus score in history. DeRosa, a celebrated studio vocalist, is Music Director for the "Voices of Liberty" at EPCOT and the Dapper Dans of the Magic Kingdom, three time men's quartet champion, and directs the Tampa Heralds of Harmony men.
