LifePath Hospice is seeking compassionate and committed people to volunteer with patients and families. There is a great need for volunteers to serve patients across Hillsborough County.
Volunteers bring compassion and companionship to patients with advanced illnesses. They perform any number of activities, such as reading to patients, helping at mealtime, providing a much-needed break for a caregiver, creating a legacy project or just sitting quietly offering support.
LifePath Hospice will hold two days of volunteer training at the Temple Terrace Resource Center, 11150 N. 53rd Street. The training sessions run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 21 and Saturday, July 28. Volunteers must pre-register and attend both training days.
Training is free, and volunteers do not need any type of previous experience.
