Rotarians
bring back the Hillsborough River Challenge.

Join your friends and neighbors for a good paddling during the Hillsborough River Challenge at Riverfest on November 10^th and then stay for the Temple Terrace Arts Festival.

It all begins at 7AM, with a pancake & sausage breakfast (participants eat for free but we will accept donations from your cheering team). The Challenge then kicks off
at 8am with a series of small boat races hosted by the Temple Terrace Rotary Club and the City of Temple Terrace.  The more macho should sign up for the 20
mile race from Riverhills Park to Trout Creek Park and back. You’ll have 20 miles under your belt when you return to the park where there will be live music, food, raffles, a silent auction and more. 

Or you can opt for the 10 mile race to the boat ramp on Fowler and back or the 5 mile course with a turnaround at the Bullard Bridge. Last year, everyone who raced received a T-shirt, a special award, with some additional prizes for
the winners because of our generous title sponsor – Republic Bank and Florida Hospital-Tampa.  We hope to offer that and more this year with the connection to the Arts Festival.

Of course you can always sign up for the leisurely 5 mile family fun paddle between the bridges of Temple Terrace.  Don’t have a boat?  No problem! Rentals will be available if you sign up early enough - to make a reservation call 813-230-5112

Thinking of buying a watercraft? TackleShack will be there with the new line of Hobie fishing kayaks for you to test.  You can pedal, paddle, sail, and even run some of them on solar electric.

Proceeds from this event benefit projects of the TT Rotary Club such as MOSI Partnership School. Set aside November 10th to enjoy the river, plus all the festivities at our own Riverhills Park.
