The month of July is National Parks and Recreation Month. Every year, the Temple Terrace Family Recreation Complex celebrates by hosting their Family Fun Day. It’s an event free to families for them to come enjoy the recreation center and fun games and delicious food.
This year’s Family Fun Day will be themed “Summer Games” and have different leagues and fun, competitive games for kids and adults to join teams and participate in. Also this year, we are hosting a silent auction at the event for adults to bid on items.
The Wellness Fair portion of the event offers an impressive venue and a festive atmosphere to create a great opportunity for networking.
The Summer Games include a relay race, obstacle course, 3-legged race and Tug ‘O’ War competition, with chances for prizes. No membership or daily pass required and lunch is only $3!
Be sure to pre-register your team or family to be entered in the chance to win a door prize!

More About City of Temple Terrace Family Recreation Complex
The Family Recreation Complex, or simply the Rec Center, is the main facility for the city's Parks & Recreation Department. It offers a tennis center with six clay courts; three air-conditioned indoor gymnasiums, including two with hardwood floors; a gymnastics center with a spring floor; two dance studios with hardwood floors; two classrooms; a fitness center; an aquatic area with a heated main pool, a fun pool with a water slide, a kiddie pool and a water playground; six lighted racquetball courts; two lighted outdoor basketball courts; and two lighted sand volleyball courts. The aquatics areas and gymnastics center are available for rent for private parties. Gymnasiums and athletic fields are available for use for games and tournaments. Permits are required.
