$249.00
An intellectually stimulating, mind expanding weekend at a delightful Gulf Coast resort during which we will seek to have a good deal of fun as well as to learn something about our lives through literature. The format is guided discussions using the “Shared Inquiry” method on the theme “America in the 1950’s: Suburbia, Conformity and Anxiety” as reflected in the acclaimed novels: Revolutionary Road - Richard Yates; The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit - Sloan Wilson; and Rabbit Run - John Updike.
The price includes all reading material, facilities usage, a Friday reception and dinner w/entertainment; breakfast and lunch on Saturday; breakfast on Sunday. The beach is steps from your room and time will be available to visit it. Shopping at the famed St Armand's Circle is nearby and all attendees are invited to participate in an arranged (not hosted) dinner at an excellent restaurant there Saturday evening.
Conference is $249; special room rate is $174 nightly and must be arranged independently by the participant. Non-participating guests may attend the reception and meals at an added cost of $129.
