Update: Where is the Best Lunch Spot in Temple Terrace?

Find out which restaurant Patch readers voted for!

Update: The tally is in and you’ve made your choice Temple Terrace! With 20 votes out of 38, Olde World Cheese Shop is your favorite spot to grab lunch.

The cheese shop wasn’t even included in the poll to begin with, but Temple Terrace residents spoke on its behalf and it was added late on Monday.

“Please add the Olde World Cheese Shop to the list,” wrote Whitney Page. Patch reader Cindy Kocher echoed the sentiments that paved the way to the eatery’s win in our poll.

Congratulations to all the great restaurants in this week’s poll!

***

Today we kick off a weekly Patch contest that celebrates great local businesses. We are inviting readers to share their favorite places and services, from restaurants to entertainment. (See the poll below.)

Each week we will publish a different poll and ask readers to vote. We debut the poll today by asking readers to vote on the best lunch spots in Temple Terrace. Here are some of our favorite places. If we're leaving one off of the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it.

The poll closes at 9 a.m. Friday, and we will announce the winner by noon Friday. The winner will get a big shoutout from Temple Terrace Patch and an awesome "Best of" plaque to post on the wall of their business.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

Editor's note: This article was updated March 2 to announce the winner of the poll.

Mel's and Jason's are not in Temple Terrace. I would have added Antonio's Pasta Grille and Cafe Don Jose to the list rather than those two restaurants

I agree. Antonio's, Don Jose and Olde World Cheese Shop should have been considered. Also Applebee's, another popular lunch time eatery.

Hey everyone, I added a few more locations to the poll. Ashley is taking a well-deserved few days off, so I'm going to need your help on this: Is Cafe Don Jose still open? I thought it was in the location where Cilantro now is, but am unsure if it moved?

@Liz: Those restaurants were included because Temple Terrace Patch serves an area that's larger than just the city limits. Hope that helps clear up any confusion!

Savvy Jack's is nestled in the strip mall next to Antonio's. It is run by a couple from Paris so you get a Parisian flair to some of your dishes. The croissants are great! Everything is made from scratch. You can have breakfast all day long. There is a wide variety of dishes on the menu including omelets, salads, quiches and burgers and several specials offered each day. They are open for breakfast and for lunch.
Prices are reasonable and the ambiance is very friendly! I enjoy dining there!.

Hey everyone, I've added a few more of your suggestions to the poll. To be fair, I'm going to cut it off where we have it so restaurants have a decent amount of time to rally the community to help them win. Don't forget, if you have favorites that aren't on the list, you can let them (and others) know by rating and reviewing their listings.
