Viewfinder: Lightfoot Park Rededication
Lightfoot Park, a play area for Temple Terrace children for more than 40 years, has been turned into the City's first all-inclusive playground.
Allie Blain smiles for the camera on the playground. Allie has has idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura or ITP, a condition in which the blood doesn’t clot at the levels it should. If Allie falls from traditional playground equipment, she could bleed to death. Her parents, Renee and Wally Blain worked with the City to build an all-inclusive park for children like Allie.

City officials and Clouds of Hope founders welcomed the community to Lightfoot Park today (July 28) as it was re-opened as an all-inclusive playground designed to accommodate special needs children.
