Dads and their daughters came together Oct. 15 to spend time with each other and strengthen their bonds during Chick-fil-A’s Daddy-Daughter Date Night.

The Fowler Avenue Chick-fil-A offers a large covered lanai for out door dining, but owner Denis Spradlin rented the banquet room at Lightfoot Recreation Center to give attendees a special experience, according to Carmen Fisher, marketing director for the Fowler Avenue location.

The restaurant literally rolled out a red carpet for guests, who were greeted by the Chick-fil-A Cow as they arrived, and dads were given a carnation to present to their daughters, Fisher said. Tables were set complete with centerpieces, and dinner was served tableside to each guest. A balloon artist entertained both children and adults, and a professional photographer was on site to take pictures.

Dads were able to enter a raffle in which they had a chance of winning either a Chick-fil-A Golf Basket, MOSI Tickets, Lowry Park Zoo Tickets, or other prizes, Fisher said. At the close of the night, daughters received goody bags complete with a plush Chick-fil-A Cow, and dads received a special candy bar and Chick-fil-A coupon.

“The night was loaded with a family fun time,” Fisher said. “Temple Terrace is a great community, and it was our pleasure to provide this opportunity. It was truly a memorable night.”

I was really looking forward to attending this event with my daughter; however, I had prior commitments with the King High School Homecoming event that night. Hopefully they will have this event again in the future.
