USF Area Traffic Delays Expected During ‘Miles for Moffitt’

USF police will be closing roads on campus during the event Saturday.

The University of South Florida will be hosting PNC Bank Miles for Moffitt on Saturday beginning at 7:30 a.m., and the USF Police Departmet expects traffic on and around the campus to be affected as a result of the more than 5,000 expected participants.

USF police will begin road closures on campus at 7 a.m. and will continue until around noon, according to a USF Police press release. The event includes several races, and police officers are being assigned to multiple intersections in order to facilitate the flow of traffic through the race routes.

“Those attending class or having other business on campus are encouraged to plan ahead, allowing sufficient time for traffic delays,” the release states.

Those traveling to USF Saturday are encouraged to enter along Fletcher Avenue and closest to their on-campus destination, the release states. Doing so will minimize confusion and potentially prevent further delays.
