Snow is a rare sight in Florida, but the forecast at Woodmont Park is calling for flurries and fun on Dec. 8, 6-9 p.m.

That’s when the community hub will turn into the City of Temple Terrace’s annual Winter Wonderland with snow courtesy of Shaughnessy Lawn Care and TECO. The free event is organized by the Temple Terrace Leisure Services Department.

There will also be games, arts and crafts, music, hayrides and more, according to a city press release. The Temple Terrace Gymnastics Booster Club will sell hot chocolate, coffee, sweet treats and other concessions. And to keep visitors warm, Temple Terrace Ace Hardware is bringing fire pits.

“The annual ‘Community Caroling in the Park’ will begin at 6:30 p.m. with all your favorite holiday tunes,” the release states. “Come out and lend your voice to the sounds of the season.

“The ‘Lighted Golf Cart Parade’ will begin at 7:30 p.m., featuring colorful, brightly lit holiday golf carts. Santa Claus will arrive on the last cart with a bagful of candy canes! He’ll meet with children at the park’s gazebo.”

Participation in the golf cart parade is free. To enter, call 813-506-6600.
