Stop Signs in Redevelopment Area Show Off 'TT' Brand
The signs are unique to the downtown project.
If you've driven through the parking lot in front of Sweetbay or the other businesses where the downtown redevelopment project has taken shape recently, you might have noticed the "TT" logo that is placed just below each stop sign.
This is the symbol of the redevelopment area, and, as you might have guessed, the two T's stand for Temple Terrace.
The logo originally appeared at the entrance to Temple Terrace, as seen in an old black and white photo included in the project brochure.
According to Mark Sneed, who is associated with Vlass Temple Terrace LLC, the company in charge of the project, tailoring developments to the communities that they serve is important to the Vlass group.
"We certainly brand the projects so that they are reflective of the communities they're built in," he said.
The TT logo also appears on the signboard at the entrance near Sweetbay and will be placed at the corner of 56th Street and Bullard Parkway, according to artist renderings of the project.
Sneed said banners will be going up soon on lightposts, which will also help brand the development.

I don't see how the logo is 'exceptional' but it is a nice touch.

Anything that directly ties us back to our illustrious 1920s roots, is in my mind exceptional
