Road Work Continues to Close Bougainvillea Avenue
The road will be closed between 46th Street and McKinley Drive through Nov. 20.
A cave-in at the median of Bougainvillea Avenue has the road closed between 46th Street and McKinley Drive through Nov. 20.
City of Tampa Wastewater crews are continuing repairs to the area, which was first closed Nov. 13.
The section of road borders the north side of Adventure Island, which is closed for the 2012 season.
According to a City of Tampa media release, eastbound traffic will be detoured by turning right onto McKinley Drive, then left onto Linebaugh Avenue, and then left onto 46th Street to return to Bougainvillea Avenue.
Westbound traffic will be detoured by turning left onto 46th Street, then right onto Linebaugh Avenue, and then right onto McKinley Drive to return to Bougainvillea Avenue, the release states.
