Residents Save Pieces of History
Temple Terrace residents came together Wednesday evening to chip off pieces of tile that make up the old Publix mural.
A on the storefront of the old Publix grocery store in the will be repurposed by Temple Terrace residents.
Although they're not quite sure if the pieces they chipped off the mural will be turned into artwork, a path or some other decorative item, Temple Terrace Wednesday.
The old Publix building is scheduled to be demolished today (Feb. 2) to make way for proposed multi-family residential units as part of the downtown redevelopment project. The Temple Terrace City Council will have a to learn more about that step of the project and hear resident concerns.
