Watch for Increased Traffic as Elton John Rocks Sun Dome
The star will be performing in town tonight (Friday).
If you encounter heavier than normal traffic around the USF Sun Dome tonight (Friday), don’t be surprised.
Superstar Elton John will be performing at the Sun Dome beginning at 8 p.m. It’s the first show at the venue since its renovation.
The USF Sun Dome Facebook page has pictures of the stage as it is set up for tonight’s performance.
“We are absolutely thrilled that Elton John will be performing live at the newly renovated Sun Dome for our grand opening,” said Trent Merritt, general manager of the Dome. “Elton John is one of music’s most legendary performers.”
The Sept. 14 show isn’t the first time John is coming to USF. He headlined at the Sun Dome in 1984, 1986 and 1988.
According to a press release issued this morning by the Sun Dome, “great seats have just been released and are available for purchase.”
Tickets are available on the Ticket Master website, at the USF Sun Dome box office or by calling 800-745-3000.
