New Video Released in Regency Square Homicide
Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office investigators have released a new video in their search for a person of interest in the 2011 death of Sean Buchanan, 26, outside AMC The Regency 20 movie theater in Brandon.
Investigators have released new video footage they hope will help solve the 2011 killing of a Temple Terrace man outside a Brandon movie theater, WTSP 10 News reports.
Sean Buchanan, 26, was found suffering "upper body trauma" the night of May 30, 2011, in his car in an embankment behind AMC The Regency 20 and later died from what officials called an act of "homicidal violence."
Detectives with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office last week shared additional security camera footage of a "person of interest" who is seen calmly walking away from the area behind the Regency Square shopping center around the time of the incident, WTSP reports.
"Most likely the individual that is seen on that angle, by the times we've collected and determined, would have had to have had at least seen or heard or something if they are not part of the actual incident himself," Detective Greg Thomas told the news station.
Officials say the man seen wearing a baseball hat has a thin build and is somewhere between 18 and 35 years old, WTSP reports. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 800-873-TIPS.
