What families want to buy a home in a city with schools you wouldn't send your dog too? Schools are a top priority for families with children, just the demographic Temple Terrace needs.

Public education becomes central in bad economic times when budgets are tight and private school is out of the question.

Temple Terrace needs a coup d'état to throw the county out. This will never change until we have Temple Terrace Schools run by the citizens of Temple Terrace for our residents.

Of course, we will be dead and buried by then....

"As for the rest of Hillsborough County, more than 59 percent of elementary and middle schools earned an A or B grade, according to the district."

We're looking at about 33% here in TT. This is really bad news for our citizens, whether you have kids in school or not.

Temple Terrace needs to decide if we should be educating children within the City of Temple Terrace city limits, or any child the school board can cram in a school with capacity. No doubt a D and F rated school hurts our property values and limits familes moving in.

FYI - Lewis Elementary missed an A grade by one point.

To be accurate, not all of the schools listed are Temple Terrace schools. Some are near us such as MOSI Partnership and Witter but both of those schools draw from the west side of USF. Congratulations to Lewis, Temple Terrace Elem. and TCMS for maintaining your grades - even though they continue to move the target for our kids.

Unfortunately, TCMS is not in Temple Terrace either.

The students at greco are overwhelmingly project bus ins or students thrown out from the other schools, now I understand they removed the police officer from the school because there were too many arrests of thugs and the school,board did not want the publicity. so we have future prison members who now have no oversight, thats perfect. Let's make Greco for TT kids only!! thats the only way
