Graceanne Williams has worked with Mary Kay for 12 years out of her home. Earlier this year, she decided to open a location at 10921 N. 56th St. in the Sherwood Forest Shopping Plaza.

Although she still maintains an office at her home in Thonotosassa, Williams said the 56th Street location on the second floor of the shopping center near Emma’s Cakes will be a place for parties, facials, one-on-one appointments with business women, and training for beauty consultants.

She celebrated the grand opening of the new location Nov. 8 with a Greater Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting.

Williams said the weak economy hasn’t harmed her business. She said studies show that the cosmetics industry thrives, even in tough financial times.

“People want to look good,” she said.
