Lady Ashley, Anastacia’s Floral Team Up

The gift shop is now selling its items in the flower store.

Elizabeth and Randy Sullivan, co-owners of Lady Ashley Designs, were packing up their recently-closed storefront when a surprise guest stopped by.

Stacey Whelan of Anastacia’s Floral Design was on her way to work and decided to pay the Sullivan’s a visit.

“The light bulb went on, and I said, ‘Why doesn’t she come in and try to sell her product in (Anastacia’s),’” Whelan said.

Since the last week in May, the Sullivan’s and Whelan have teamed up to do just that. In addition to selling items on the Lady Ashley Designs website, the Sullivan’s are selling their gifts, collectables and greeting cards in Anastacia’s Floral Design shop, located at 8826 N. 56th St. in Temple Terrace.

“It’s a good marriage between her product and mine,” Whelan said.

On Thursday, the Sullivan’s and Whelan had a kick-off party at Shamrock’s Ale House to celebrate their collaborative efforts.

“We’re excited about it,” Elizabeth Sullivan said.

Randy Sullivan agreed.

“I’d just like to see it benefit both of us,” he said.

And it already has, according to both sides. They’ve both seen an increase in sales.

“I just think Elizabeth and I work great together,” Whelan said.

This proves when one door closes another door opens. You never know what's going to happen from one second to the next.

Congratulations to both business owners - one for extending a hand and the other for recognizing it for what is was - a gift of kindness from one business owner to another. Talk about one stop shopping!
