Florida College Inducts First Students into Alpha Chi

The ceremony took place last week.

From Florida College:

March 27 marked the induction of the very first Florida College students into the Florida Xi Chapter of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Scholarship Society.

Alpha Chi is a co-educational academic honor society that was founded on Feb. 22, 1922 by representatives of five Texas institutions of higher learning.

Today, the society has more than 300 chapters located in 45 states and Puerto Rico. About 11,000 new members are inducted into the society each year. Alpha Chi is an active member of the Association of College Honor Societies

From the beginning, Alpha Chi’s purpose has been to promote academic excellence and exemplary character among college and university students and to honor those who achieve such distinction. Membership is limited to the top 10 percent of juniors, seniors and graduate students at colleges and universities that have a chapter of Alpha Chi.
