Community Helps Feed Hungry Neighbors
The Patch RV was in Temple Terrace Monday to gather food for Feeding America Tampa Bay.
Jim and Jo Ann Sanderson dropped off bags of food.
Bantayhu Atkelet wore a fresh Patch T-shirt as he sipped his coffee.
Patch readers stopped in to say hi, and others who had never heard of Patch were introduced to the site and our Give-A-Ton Food Drive.
We had a great time Monday at Café Kili, where we parked our giant Patch RV for a few hours while we handed out freebies inside the coffee shop. The mission: gather a ton of food for Feeding America Tampa Bay and raise awareness about Patch.
This month, the Patch RV is rolling through the 19 Tampa Bay towns we cover, stopping to gather food from our business partner locations. In Temple Terrace, we’ve partnered with five businesses where you can drop off nonperishable food through May 31. The businesses include:
- Animal Diagnostic & Wellness Center
- Business Ink Printing
- Café Kili
- Chatenbury Place Salon, Spa & Boutique
- Felicitous Independent Coffee House
Together we hope to raise one TON of food, so we need your help.
Thank you so much to all of our business partners and everyone who stopped by to see us Monday. We truly feel proud to be part of such an amazing community.
If you want to find out where the Patch RV will be next, be sure to become a fan of the food drive on Facebook!
