Community Garden to Finish Fence at Second Plot
Volunteers are welcome to help with the project July 28.
From the Temple Terrace Community Garden:
Volunteer members of the Temple Terrace Community Garden will complete a fence and install gates at its second garden plot on July 28, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., at Riverhills Park.
Community garden volunteers have organized into work groups to complete the fence, which is 89 feet wide by 204 feet long.
Attendees are invited to help with construction and/or serve cold drinks and cheer on those who are digging holes for fence posts and stretching fence wire.
Guests are also invited to stop by and take a look at the demonstration plots located next to the first garden behind Riverhills Elementary School. Members of the planning committee want to register your vote as we finalize plans to build individual plots of either pine or cement block.
The event is free and open to the public. Participants may consider bringing a folding chair, sunscreen, a camera and cold drinks to share.
