City Offices to Close July 4
The City of Temple Terrace will observe the Independence Day holiday.
From the City of Temple Terrace:
City Hall and other government offices will be closed July 4 in observance of Independence Day, a national holiday.
There will be no yard-waste collection on July 4. Commercial garbage collection will not be affected. The after-hours, holiday and emergency number for Public Works is 813-506-6590.
The Temple Terrace Public Library and Lightfoot Recreation Center also will be closed on July 4. However, the Family Recreation Complex will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Don’t forget the city’s Independence Day parade will take place July 4 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The parade will start at the corner of Whiteway Drive and Gillette Avenue. The parade will head south on Gillette, west on Druid Hills, then south on Ridgedale Road to the Ridgedale Sports Complex near Temple Terrace Elementary School.
Evening festivities will begin at 7 p.m. outside the Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club.
There will be music, food vendors and a performance by Masque Community Theatre.
Fireworks will light up the sky at 9:15 p.m. and can be viewed from the first fairway of the Temple Terrace golf course, between Belle Terre and Woodmont avenues. Lawn chairs and blankets are OK, but please do not bring personal fireworks of any kind to the golf course.
Free parking is available at Terrace Plaza (at the corner of Bullard Parkway and 56th Street).
