On Nov. 17, 2012, runners and walkers gathered to run and stroll the tree-lined streets of Temple Terrace in the Trot Thru The Terrace. The inaugural event, coordinated by the GFWC Temple Terrace Junior Woman's Club, attracted nearly 275 athletes from as far away as Georgia.

"We had runners from North Florida and beyond," said Race Co-Director Kim Schisler. "It was great to see so much support for our organization and its charities. I believe it was one of our best fundraisers ever."

"I think the event was a huge success for being a first-year race," said Race Coordinator Sandi Lake. "We heard a lot of positive feedback from experienced runners about the course."
