Don’t wait for “Black Friday” – shop “Green Sunday!”

Looking for an alternative to sitting in front of the TV watching football or wandering the shopping mall? The Temple Terrace Garden Cluh has something for you! Sunday in the Park is an afternoon event at Woodmont Park filled with food, entertainment, and lots of booths with special emphasis on plants, home and garden items, nature exhibits, conservation groups and garden experts. 

The park is set up in such a way that plant vendors have extra space to make demonstrations and talk to visitors.  We are very particular that every plant vendor be the actual grower or have extensive knowledge of the plants they bring for sale. Return visitors tell us that the ability to talk to the actual “expert” gives them the confidence to try new plants. And don’t forget to bring your garden tools for sharpening – we have a vendor for that! Get started on your holiday shopping at this green event”.

The Tampa Bay Children’s Chorus and Masque Community Theatre promise to fill the park with music, giving yet another reason to stay around and enjoy the beauty of the park. Of course, what attracts young families (and grandparents) to an event better than the promise of Santa Claus arriving on a fire truck?
