Networking Group Launches for Health, Healing Professionals
Helping Professionals Network will host an exclusive launch party at the Centre Club, 123 Westshore Blvd., on Thursday, November 15 from 6-8 p.m.
Helping Professionals Network (HPN) is a new organization dedicated to creating networking opportunities for healthcare and wellness professionals in the Tampa Bay area.
“Health and healing care is such a critical and growing concern these days, and it's important for professionals to stay connected for the sake of our personal and professional well-being,” said Kathy Fountain, HPN board member, a Nationally Certified Counselor and longtime WTVT FOX 13 news anchor and TV show host.
A long-time resident of Temple Terrace, Dr. Dae Sheridan, a psychotherapist, USF professor, author, speaker, mental health and sexuality expert started Tampa Bay’s new community for health and healing professionals. She did so "out of a desire to create solid connections with like-minded individuals that other networking organizations didn’t offer."
Sheridan, along with her co-founder and business partner Liane Caruso, assembled a Board of Advisors consisting of several highly-respected Tampa Bay specialists including Fountain, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing inrelationship and fertility issues; Rahul Mehra, M.D., board-certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist and CEO and Chief Medical Officer of MehraVista Health, LLC; Registered and Licensed Dietitian and Nutritionist, Abigail Dougherty; Employment Attorney Kimberly Monticello, Esq.; Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Jennifer Mannion and fellow Temple Terrace residents, Spa50 owner and Licensed Massage Therapist, Kelly Seeley and Licensed Physical Therapists Joshua and Tiffany Sperry.
“When you are in private practice, it can be taxing and isolative. You are in the office with your door closed treating people who are in pain— physical, emotional or both.” HPN Founder Sheridan said. “It’s humanly impossible not to be affected by these things. We wanted to create something specifically for those who have dedicated their lives to that work. ”
HPN will host monthly events including happy hour socials, speed networking events, exciting presenters, and opportunities for members to showcase and highlight their businesses.
“This has always been my dream. It’s important that every time you attend a Helping Professionals Network event, you'll be there with a support system of others who can serve as true referral sources, collaborative partners and mentors."
If you are interested in attending the launch event and have not yet received an invitation, please email email@example.com. The cost of the event is $35.
