Lewis Elementary started a new program called iMOM Morning- "a simple idea with a profound impact." On November 16th, the school hosted their first meeting before school from 7:15-8:30am. It was a one hour breakfast where mothers and their children met with other moms and kids in the school cafeteria. During the usual meeting times, moms are able to discuss a variety of family topics, spend time together, create fun memories, and get equipped with resources to strengthen their relationship. After breakfast, students were dismissed to class and moms were treated to a short presentation by our reading coach, Ms. Tania Lyon. About 50 moms and students participated in the first meeting. Lewis is very excited about this new program.
